Using version 0.82. It would be great to pass a userid and groupid to newdaemon to have the daemon and it's associated files created (or switched to after creation) with those ids. Beneficial for times when you need a daemon to open a restricted port, but want it owned by a non-root user. Another example is if you have Apache HTTPD configured to run as non-root and need this new daemon to run under that same userid. Thanks! Brad Van Orden

You can simply set $< and $> in gd_run. There the documentation now says it's okay to do that. On Tue Nov 27 06:04:06 2012, brad.vanorden@gmail.com wrote: Show quoted text
