Subject: Helios::Panoptes doesn't support Oracle

Helios 2.41 added official Oracle support, but Helios::Panoptes has not been updated yet. The Collective Admin view works, but the other views (Job Queue, Error Log, Ctrl Panel) all have problems.

We're working on it. The most recent development build (2631) has a mostly functional JobLog view. When we're done, Panoptes should be able to support most any database Helios supports.

Collective Admin System Log Job Queue/History Job Info views have all be made "Oracle-compliant." Actually, they should be "whatever DB compliant" for the most part. Most of those views have not been styled and look rough though. Ctrl Panel still has issues with non-MySQL databases at this point.

The master branch of Helios::Panoptes on GitHub now has relatively solid support for Oracle as well as MySQL. There are still some bugs and the default templates and stylesheets still need some work, but it is functional for people wanting to use Oracle instead of MySQL. The Panoptes GitHub project is here: https://github.com/logicalhelion/helios-panoptes Expect a new development release shortly.
A new Helios::Panoptes development effort has started in the unstable-1.7x branch on GitHub (https://github.com/logicalhelion/helios-panoptes/tree/unstable-1.7x). The first commits contain a new System Log that should support both Oracle and MySQL. On Wed Dec 05 20:43:16 2012, LAJANDY wrote: Show quoted text
