Subject: RequireLocalizedPunctuationVars should allow $0
Changing $0 globally is quite legitimately editable in Unix to change the display string for the process in the operating system process list. $0 should thus be added to the list of exempted magic variables.

Given that this policy is readily configurable to allow this sort of thing and the relative proportion of code that uses this trick, I am disinclined to agree with this request.
