Subject: Missing README in 5.12.2 November 2010
Download (untitled) / with headers
text/plain 316b
The 5.12.2 release of StrawberryPerl November 2010 that recently appeared on strawberryperl.com does not have a README included (also the link to the release notes on strawberryperl.com give a generates a 404). This results in, for one thing, the 'open README after installing' option in the installer not working.

Thanks for letting me know about the missing README. Will be fixed with 5.12.3.0 next month. And yes, I know I haven't gotten the release notes up yet. I've got to get 2 hours straight to massage the files into uploadable condition before I do.

Recommend removing some details if the maintenance is becoming a problem. Adam K On 19 January 2011 16:04, Curtis Jewell via RT <bug-Perl-Dist-Strawberry@rt.cpan.org> wrote: Show quoted text

The '2 hours straight' is mainly for getting things moved over from the previous notes that need moved over, getting already found bugs (the installation crasher that I'm requesting assistance with, for instance) noted in (which is the main purpose of the notes, after all), marking which modules aren't installed in the 64-bit version in (which could - and probably should, if I can figure how - be automated), and making sure all the links work. No, it's my lack of large bodies of time that's the problem, and I've got next Monday completely free (taking a day's vacation from work) if I don't get it done before then. The long list of module versions and links is automated, thank goodness. On Wed Jan 19 00:36:48 2011, adam@ali.as wrote: Show quoted text
