|Subject:||Another 3.17_01 regression: Executable tests need ./test.sh, not just test.sh|
Here's another thing that broke in 3.17_01 with regards to executable tests (see RT #59186 for the other): Set up a simple .sh test: $ (echo '#!/bin/sh' && echo 'echo 1..1' && echo 'echo "ok 1 - hello"') > test.sh && chmod +x test.sh $ ./test.sh 1..1 ok 1 - hello This still works: $ prove ./test.sh ./test.sh .. ok All tests successful. Files=1, Tests=1, 0 wallclock secs ( 0.02 usr + 0.00 sys = 0.02 CPU) Result: PASS Doing test.sh without ./ worked before 3.17_01: $ prove test.sh test.sh .. open3: exec of test.sh failed at /home/avar/perl5/perlbrew/perls/perl- 5.12.1/lib/5.12.1/TAP/Parser/Iterator/Process.pm line 168 test.sh .. Dubious, test returned 255 (wstat 65280, 0xff00) No subtests run Bisect traced it down to: 3a60b29248018ddbc0b2a88300c2901bf5784044 is the first bad commit commit 3a60b29248018ddbc0b2a88300c2901bf5784044 Author: Steve Purkis <firstname.lastname@example.org> Date: Sun May 17 20:46:36 2009 +0000 raw tap is now being detected through the factory. surprisingly works.
