Greetings, Thanks for writing Net::MAC::Vendor, it is very useful. I am encountering an issue though: I've got DBM::Deep installed and I would like to *not* use it with Net::MAC::Vendor. The attached patch allows you to choose whether Net::MAC::Vendor uses DBM::Deep, it works for me and should not break any scripts that use 1.18. It would allow users to do something like: use Net::MAC::Vendor; Net::MAC::Vendor::set_cached(use_dbm_deep => 0); Net::MAC::Vendor::load_cache(); my $info = Net::MAC::Vendor::fetch_oui_from_cache('00:10:18:5c:c3:ad'); or omit the set_cached line and the module functions just as it had before. Please consider merging the patch into upstream. Thanks for your contribution to free software!
