Subject: bug in OBO::Parser::OBOParser::work
Download (untitled) / with headers
text/plain 888b
unclear whether this is a data or code bug. when parsing http://www.geneontology.org/ontology/obo_format_1_2/gene_ontology_ext.obo, a VERY, VERY widely used data set, work() generates 6959 errors of the form: A format problem has been detected (and ignored) in: 'creation_date: 2010-06-15T04:19:49Z' in the line: 364313 in the file: /Users/arthurgoldberg/Downloads/CacheData/gene_ontology_ext.obo_920d1194e0dd4991ede37e00e10cb7978b576491.output at /Library/Perl/5.8.8/OBO/Parser/OBOParser.pm line 263. it would be great to have an option that turns off some errors, or summarizes them at the end of each work() method execution. code: E/EA/EASR/ONTO-PERL/ONTO-PERL-1.22.tar.gz env: perl -v This is perl, v5.8.8 built for darwin-thread-multi-2level uname -a Darwin xxx.NYU.EDU 9.8.0 Darwin Kernel Version 9.8.0: Wed Jul 15 16:55:01 PDT 2009; root:xnu-1228.15.4~1/RELEASE_I386 i386
'creation_date' and 'created_by' are now supported in onto-perl (OBO spec 1.4)
