Trying to install any module using cpan or cpanp gives errors. from within the cpan shell I did "look Data::Dump" to get a shell in the directory. In that shell I did: C:\myperl\strawberry-perl-5.10.1.2-portable\cpan\build\Data-Dump-1.15-ujNnsz>perl Makefile.PL Writing Makefile for Data::Dump C:\myperl\strawberry-perl-5.10.1.2-portable\cpan\build\Data-Dump-1.15-ujNnsz>dmake C:myperlstrawberry-perl-5.10.1.2-portableperlbinperl.exe: not found dmake: Error code 255, while making 'blib\lib\Data\.exists' It seems that the path to the perl bin gets hosed. This is the portable version of strawberry perl 5.10.1.2 on windows XP SP2 Thanks, Tom

I have just tried this in 5.12.1-beta-1 CPAN.pm: Going to build G/GA/GAAS/Data-Dump-1.15.tar.gz Checking if your kit is complete... Looks good Writing Makefile for Data::Dump C:myperlstrawberry-perl-5.12.1.0-portable-beta-1perlbinperl.exe: not found dmake.exe: Error code 255, while making 'blib\lib\Data\.exists' GAAS/Data-Dump-1.15.tar.gz C:\myperl\strawberry-perl-5.12.1.0-portable-beta-1\c\bin\dmake.exe -- NOT OK Running make test Can't test without successful make Running make install Make had returned bad status, install seems impossible Failed during this command: GAAS/Data-Dump-1.15.tar.gz : make NO And it also fails.
