and supplied this patch http://archive.develooper.com/perl5-changes@perl.org/msg04402.html which was reversed in 16155 due to code freeze, lack of discussion and tuit shortage from 5.8 release frenzy. http://www.xray.mpe.mpg.de/mailing-lists/perl5-porters/2002-04/msg02021.html The problem will be pondered more fully at a later date.

The path mangling was due to t/TEST and t/harness using File::Spec on Unix paths from the MANIFEST. Fixed. Test::Harness 2.04 changes the way skip messages are displayed.
