Hi, this is Debian bug Summary: Constructors of Date::Simple (the base class) work both when called as functions (D::S::today) and when called as a class methods (D::S->today); for Date/Simple/{D8,Fmt,ISO}.pm only the class method way work: $ PERL5LIB=lib perl -MDate::Simple::Fmt -e 'print Date::Simple::Fmt::today();' Can't call method "_today" on an undefined value at lib/Date/Simple/ line 11. $ PERL5LIB=lib perl -MDate::Simple::Fmt -e 'print Date::Simple::Fmt->today();' 2009-10-29 Thanks in advance for looking into this issue!
