Subject: Tests fail on Snow Leopard
I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard on OS X and it ate my Perl. I can't install HTML::Parser 3.62 because I get errors like this: t/unbroken-text.t .... Can't load '/Users/ovid/File-HomeDir-0.86/HTML-Parser-3.62/blib/arch/auto/HTML/Parser/Parser.bundle' for module HTML::Parser: dlopen(/Users/ovid/File-HomeDir-0.86/HTML-Parser-3.62/blib/arch/auto/HTML/Parser/Parser.bundle, 2): no suitable image found. Looks like the problem is on my end I need to do massive reconfiguring. I have incompatible architectures. You can probably close this ticket (unless you can think of a way of detecting this issue and giving the end user a better error message). I see the same problem here when I try to compile HTML-Parser with ActivePerl (which is built on a Leopard system). The problem does not show when I build with the perl that's shipped with Snow Leopard (/usr/bin/perl).
No relevant any more.
