Hello, when building perl-Test-RefCount, the following message appered during "make test": Assertion ((((shplep)->sv_flags & (0x00004000|0x00008000)) == 0x00008000) && (((svtype)((shplep)->sv_flags & 0xff)) == SVt_PVGV || ((svtype)((shplep)->sv_flags & 0xff)) == SVt_PVLV)) failed: file "FindRef.xs", line 212 at /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.10.0/ppc64-linux-thread-multi/Devel/FindRef.pm line 196. The build log is currently available here: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/getfile?taskID=1569587&name=build.log I'm afraid this report is not enough to locate the bug; please give me some hints how should I collect more clues.

firefox is unable to access that url (SSL peer was unable to negotiate an acceptable set of security parameters. (Error code: ssl_error_handshake_failure_alert)) so I cannot really comment, but that looks like a 5.10.0 with -DDEBUGGING enabled, i.e. not a production build. I cannot support this perl version with -DDEBUGGING, it contains far too many buggs assertions. Show quoted text

The bug is likely in perl - use a production build, not a debugging build. -- The choice of a Deliantra, the free code+content MORPG -----==- _GNU_ http://www.deliantra.net ----==-- _ generation ---==---(_)__ __ ____ __ Marc Lehmann --==---/ / _ \/ // /\ \/ / pcg@goof.com -=====/_/_//_/\_,_/ /_/\_\

Oops, the name of the module on CPAN is Test-Refcount-0.05 Stepan

sorry for pasting than one; I believe the clear-text version works: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/getfile?taskID=1569587&name=build.log Show quoted text

It indeed is, this is how the production perl for Fedora is compiled. This is the first time I hear this is causing any problem. You mentioned specifically 5.10.0; is there any chance update to the latest maint-5.10 could help? Show quoted text

That might be a way out. We'd have to find a way to configure perl to be built with -g but without -DDEBUGGING. Have a nice day, Stepan Kasal
