Steps to recreate: 1. Get the Ubuntu 9.0.4 2. Install Object::InsideOut with CPAN 3. Do something like: [I have Exception::Class with a VERSION of 1.27 which I got from CPAN] root@isengaard:/usr/local/share/perl/5.10.0/Exception# perl -MObject::InsideOut -d -e 0 Loading DB routines from perl5db.pl version 1.3 Editor support available. This is a bug with ExtUtils::MakeMaker. It's not getting the correct version for Exception::Class. It can be corrected by changing various $VERSION statements in Exception::Class, and I have sent that module's author a patch. Hopefully, an new version of Exception::Class will be forthcoming.

This has been fixed with Exception::Class 1.29 and Object::InsideOut 3.55.
