-------- Original Message -------- Subject: RE: Patch Date: Thu, 14 Feb 2008 16:54:35 -0700 From: Roberts, Dennis <Dennis.Roberts@sunquestinfo.com> To: 'makemaker@perl.org' <makemaker@perl.org> References: <4813EA4A50D35A44906A74A5E341D0B619EBFD4644@SQMAILBOX1.sunquestinfo.com> It was necessary to modify ExtUtils::Install in order to get it to work with setuid scripts. Sorry I didn't catch this sooner. Thanks, Dennis ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *From:* Roberts, Dennis *Sent:* Thursday, February 14, 2008 11:57 AM *To:* 'makemaker@perl.org' *Subject:* Patch Here's a patch that allows the user to create a distribution that installs some setuid executable files and some plain executable files. I haven't tested this on any operating system other than Linux, and I haven't considered the implications on operating systems that are not Unix variants. I thought that I'd provide the patch anyway, though, in case someone else found it useful. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, Dennis -- 100.
