Subject: Space in file name bug

To: bug-Perl-Dist-Strawberry@rt.cpan.org
From: Ian Hobson <ian@ianhobson.co.uk>
Hi, I was using PPM to install Gtk2 and one of the sub-windows collapsed with The library libatk-1.0-0.dll is needed to complete the installation, and should be placed in a directory somewhere in your PATH environment variable. I will fetch and install this for you. Fetching http://trouchelle.com/ppm/scripts/dll/libatk-1.0-0.dll .gz (36174 bytes ) ... failed, trying again ... failed, trying again ... failed, trying again ... failed, trying again ... failed, trying again ... failed, trying again .. . failed, trying again ... failed, trying again ... failed, trying again ... Note there is a space before the .gz in the filename. This occurs in both Strawberry Perl 5.8.8.3 and 5.10.0.3 I am running under Windows 2000 SP4, patched up to about 2 weeks ago. Regards Ian
Apparently the PPM for Gtk2 on trouchelle has been updated since, so this bug is resolved. (I should have mentioned earlier that it was very likely to be the Gtk2 PPM that was at fault, and not any bug of Strawberry Perl.)
