I believe that there was a change in either the gd library or the png library which causes the image generated during the test to not be byte-identical to the one shipped with the module, though they are almost certainly pixel-identical. I have a possible fix for this, using a method in GD that will do a pixel-comparison of the two images, rather than comparing the png files. I plan to try that and release a version 2.02 soon.
