Subject: Does not associate .pl files with the Perl interpreter
perlrun says that the ActiveState installer modifies the Registry to associate the .pl extension with the Perl interpreter. I wish Strawberry Perl did the same thing.
Curtis,

what about to reopen this RT? - it is quite closely related to RT#57936 (which you are not strongly against)

It might be handy especially for people who are switching to Strawberry from ActivePerl like the guy asking today at stackoverflow.com
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3013341/perl-execution-from-command-line-question

I suggest to put this on Oct-2010 TODO list (we can "not-assoiciate" by default but IMHO we should at least allow the user to have association if he/she wants it).
