Would be nice if getSimilarity() can accept strings too instead of files, e.g. getSimilarity(\$text1, \$text2). For example I am comparing a text in string with text columns in database.

We've just released version 0.05 which now allows for direct comparison between two strings! Enjoy, Ted

This has been resolved in version 0.05 of Text-Similarity, which allows for comparison between strings.
