Subject: MacOSX 10.4 installation

From: Adrian Lewis <indproj [...]>
I'm trying to install Verilog-Perl 3.023 on my Intel Mac OS-X 10.4 (Darwin 8.11.1) laptop running Perl-5.8.6. Makefile.PL complains "No library found for -lstdc++". After install, running vppp results in: Can't load '/Library/Perl/5.8.6/darwin-thread-multi-2level/auto/Verilog/Preproc/Preproc.bundle' for module Verilog::Preproc: dlopen(/Library/Perl/5.8.6/darwin-thread-multi-2level/auto/Verilog/Preproc/Preproc.bundle, 1): Symbol not found: __ZTVN10__cxxabiv120__si_class_type_infoE Referenced from: /Library/Perl/5.8.6/darwin-thread-multi-2level/auto/Verilog/Preproc/Preproc.bundle Expected in: dynamic lookup at /usr/bin/vppp line 30 Looks like the preprocessor library can't find the dynamic c++ library - but that's just a guess. Thanks for your help, Adrian Lewis Show quoted text

Unfortunately I don't have access to a Mac 10.4 to fix this, though note others say it works on the latest mac releases. If you solve it I'll happily take the patch back.
