I'll have to think about this. To be honest, I'm not sure that the functionality merits another subroutine in Date::Manip given that it doesn't add anything new and relatively few people will need it (you're the first to ever mention it). Given the size of Date::Manip, it's a fairly high priority to keep the clutter down, so I hesitate to add extensions like this.
