Dear Sir I have just downloaded Strawberry Perl and am trying to install DBI and PDF modules from CPAN. This is a summary of the error Download and kit is OK CPAN:YAML loaded ok <<<--- then the problem 'dmake' is not recognised as an internal or external command... dmake --NOT OK We are using the latest Download (from today) Perl v 5.8.8 MS Win32 -x86- multi-thread I am running the program on a windows XP SP2 Intel Celeron Laptop I would appreciate your comments Many thanks Richard Byrne Banbury Oxon UK **IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER************************************* This message is confidential. Glad that worked. I'm going to leave this ticket open as a reminder that we should probably prompt a reboot after installation.
I suspect that rather than a reboot, we just need to close any existing command line shells and restart them.
