I also confirm the issue on mandriva x86_64 also.

Looks like Most RPM based distro's have upstream fixes : http://dag.wieers.com/rpm/packages/perl-Unicode-Map8/ (requires http://dag.wieers.com/rpm/packages/perl-Unicode-String/)
