Subject: support for recover_silently() in LibXML.xs in SVN, but not in CPAN?

The current CPAN release (1.59) for XML::LibXML::Parser documents a recover_silently() function. However, the necessary support for this function in LibXML.xs (recognizing when XML_LIBXML_RECOVER is set, but not set to 1) doesn't appear to be in the CPAN version. It's only in the trunk in the subversion repository. Would it be possible to get this support in the CPAN-released version soon? Or alternatively, could the documentation be updated to be consistent? Thanks, -Kartik

Yep, this is a bug. However, you seem to be mistaken about SVN being different from CPAN 1.59. Neither the SVN version of LibXML.xs (svn://axkit.org/XML-LibXML/trunk) has it right. Either you are not using some other SVN as I or something is wrong with the universe:-) Anyway, I'll soon commit a fix to the SVN. It will appear on CPAN when 1.60 is released (but I have yet no estimate about when that will happen; should not take too long, though). -- Petr

Ah, sorry, my mistake. The correct code to handle this *was* checked into the SVN trunk as of version 536. However, closer inspection reveals that this code was removed as of version 568, and is no longer in the trunk release. Show quoted text

Thanks! -Kartik

You are very much welcome, but please, do not reply to this or at least pay attention to the Status field in the reply form. With every reply you change the status of the ticket from resolved to open which means I have to go and set it resolved again ;-) -- Petr
