Subject: p->time value in SunOS and Linux have different metric

This may be a documented behaviour, not sure. Anyway, I found that the p->{time} value is in milliseconds on Linux where as it is returned as seconds value on SunOS. Cant this value be returned consistently across all platforms? If this is not bug, then how can one return this value to the user without having to know what platform the script is running on?
