Subject: [jifty-devel] automatic insertion of "since" when creating new models?
Download (untitled) / with headers
text/plain 582b
Should the "jifty model" script automatically insert a "since" declaration with a future (determined how?) version number in it into the new model, and perhaps bump the version number in the config file? It took me a while to remember that I needed to add the since and bump the version when I created a new model. --dave Code Monkey, Best Practical Solutions -- David Glasser | glasser@bestpractical.com Show quoted text

I'm not sure this is something we can reliably do automatically, since it would only work for new models and not new columns in models. trs

it should set a "since" of the latest (or next) version when creating a new model class
