Blast. Fixing this is infinitely more complicated than I envisioned it to be under the premise that the module is supposed to work on all versions starting with 5.005_03 up to the 5.9.x branch. But a fix is underway and will be in 0.15 (0.14 that I had released in the meantime shows the same behaviour as 0.13, by the way). 0.15 hopefully fixes this problem. I also tried to make sure that the previous memory leak didn't creep up again. Please test extensively. The whole XS was rewritten to make use of a new backwards-compatible API introduced in the development branch of perl a few weeks ago. I don't yet fully trust it. Cheers, Tassilo
