distro: HTML-Lint-1.13 perl v: 5.6.1 os : debian linux, kernel 2.4.17 I would expect this script to return some sort of error about an extra double quote not being allowed after an attribute value or something. But it returns no errors. ---------------------------------------------------------------- #!/usr/bin/perl use HTML::Lint; $lint = HTML::Lint->new(); $lint->parse('<html><body><img src="foo alt=""></body></html>'); foreach my $error ( $lint->errors ) { print $error->as_string, "\n"; } ----------------------------------------------------------------

This issue is caught by HTML::Tidy, which is a new module I've started. In fact, I added this specific catch into the test suite. I'm abandoning HTML::Lint, although someone else may come along and pick up maintenance on it, although I don't expect they will. I recommend you switch to HTML::Tidy.
