I'm having problems installing libwww-perl on Centos 7 (fully patched). Version 6.16 to 6.19 install successfully, but version 6.20 & 6.21 fail. This is the console log as I installed the versions from 6.16 to 6.21: [root@f5e10ba230bc ~]# cpanm http://www.cpan.org/authors/id/O/OA/OALDERS/libwww-perl-6.16.tar.gz --> Working on http://www.cpan.org/authors/id/O/OA/OALDERS/libwww-perl-6.16.tar.gz Fetching http://www.cpan.org/authors/id/O/OA/OALDERS/libwww-perl-6.16.tar.gz ... Thanks for this. Looks like the problem starts with https://github.com/libwww-perl/libwww-perl/pull/100

Hi Ian, The tests are failing on using a hashref for content on the PUT method. As it turns out, HTTP::Message (which contains HTTP::Request) prior to version 6.07 didn't allow PUT requests to use hashrefs for content. https://metacpan.org/changes/release/ETHER/HTTP-Message-6.07#L13 So, to fix, please update your HTTP::Message and re-try your LWP install. We will discuss the best way to fix this in the next release of LWP. Thank you for pointing this out to us! Thanks, Chase

Chase Thanks - forcing an upgrade of HTTP::Message to the latest version (from 6.06 to 6.11) appears to have resolved the issue. Regards Ian. Show quoted text
