Subject: PDF::API2::Barcode disappeared
In newer PDF::API2 versions (I suspect 0.40.sth) methods $dpf->barcode, module PDF::API2::Barcode and excellent documentation of both disappeared. What is worse, version which provided them (0.3r77) is no longer available from CPAN. One can guess that new methods like xo_3of9 are expected to replace them but they are unfortunately not documented at all, not to mention migration info. I file this bug asking for the following: a) Please, put 0.3r77 back into CPAN so it is available for people using old API b) Please, document new barcode methods, so one can check which parameters should be given and what they mean. c) Please, add some compatibility note on this subject - mentioning both the api changes and functional changes (are new barcodes the same or different then those previously used) d) Consider adding PDF::API2::Barcode back into distribution as an combatibility option. Regards.
