Subject: Translation extension issues with editing
Download (untitled) / with headers
text/plain 582b
Pages that have been marked for translation using the Translation Extension are not editable using this module. This is a huge issue. Attempting to edit a marked page results in the hookaborted error. I have narrowed this down by performing the exact same edit on a page multiple times; once with no translation stuff, once with <translate> tags but not marked, once marked with <translate> and <T:#> tags. The error only occurred in that last test. This same issue (according to some CurseGamepedia people I have frequent contact with) is present in the VisualEditor MW extension.

Sounds like this translate extension doesn't work with the mediawiki api itself which this perl module uses. I doubt it can be fixed from my site if it is still an issue - but I would need more information including error log to advise further. The situation may have changed now as this ticket is old (and my reply late).
