Hi Paul, I have trouble installing recent versions of IO::Async on my MacBook, I'm one of the dozen Mac OS X users having the same failure: Test Summary Report ------------------- t/41routine.t (Wstat: 8960 Tests: 26 Failed: 0) Non-zero exit status: 35 Parse errors: No plan found in TAP output Files=59, Tests=1587, 101 wallclock secs ( 0.32 usr 0.17 sys + 9.32 cusr 1.37 csys = 11.18 CPU) Result: FAIL Failed 1/59 test programs. 0/1587 subtests failed. (./Build test exited with 65280) Nothing of running the test gave me more info (invoke only t/41, invoke under debugger), so I decided to run it in a dtruss. You can find the log here: Additionally I've seen some Solaris and Linux boxes fail regarding getaddrinfo. I'm sure you've read - but keep in mind that some Solaris 11 out there are early OpenSolaris installations without any hope of an update, Solaris 10 might be really old (hey, when the started, the bundled Perl 5.6!) - so mind - check whether XPG520 is available or check for getaddrinfo and skip etc. Cheers -- Jens Rehsack
