Net::NTP 1.4 Reading the code, it looks like you use NTP_ADJ to convert between Unix Epoch and NTP epoch. It does not seem to account for the NTP era - and while 2036 seemed a distant future in Y2K, half that time has elapsed :-) See https://www.eecis.udel.edu/~mills/y2k.html for the NTP era. Or with prettier pictures: https://www.eecis.udel.edu/~mills/time.html You may also wish to consider IO::Socket::IP rather than IO::Socket::INET6, as it is the current Perl standard for protocol-independent network I/O.
